Daniel “Richie Sax” Richards, is a young Jamaican musician well recognized among his peers as one of the island’s finest saxophonist.

The budding 23 years old Musician developed his talents through his tenure at The Alpha Boys School in Kingston, where he was taken under the wings of Winston “Sparrow” Martin at the tender age of seven (7).

Years later, Richie Sax, in his early teens, under the tutelage of Jeffery Brown, was able to maximize on his skills as a saxophonist through Brown’s annual Summer Music Program.

Over the years, he has played for notable international artistes and bands such as Luciano Borris Gardiner, Leroy Sibbles, Fab 5, Blazing Genesis, Bare Essential, Jordan Mais and the Rebelistic, Ska Sonic and Rootz Impact Band.

This wide array of experiences has not only made him a true expert in his field, but have also exposed him to multiple genres of music such as ska, reggae, rock steady, jazz, r&b, soul and classical music among many others.

Daniel is currently showcasing his mastery and passion of the saxophone within the Tourism Industry, as one of the resident Saxophonists, at Sandals Resorts International
